I noticed these two trees recently in my front yard. Both were planted at the same time, in the same bed, they get the same sun, same amount of water...but their "development" is different. PARENTS it reminds me of our children. They do not all grow and develop in the same manner or at the same rate. If we try to cookie cutter all of them alike it will only lead to frustration-for them and us. This is also a great reminder for us as PASTORS. Isn't it amazing that you can preach the same message , to the same people, at the same time, and you don't get the same result. Some seem to grasp God's Word and flourish while others seem to merely tolerate your message. I once read that the same sun which melts wax...hardens clay. So true. So today, Parents, Pastors, and all People in general-sow the seed, water it in prayer, fertilize it with love, and trust our Good Good Father with the desired outcome.
