Every morning when I'm dressing I view five smooth stones Michelle and I picked up in the Valley of Elah in Israel. As you probably recall this was the valley where David defeated the giant named Goliath. I Samuel 17 tells us of this amazing story and the improbable outcome. David had already defeated a lion and a bear so a giant was no big deal. In other words...God had helped David before so He will help him again. David had a Past with God and he learned of His faithfulness.
All of us face 'Giants'. Yours might be a giant need, giant concern, giant request or a giant battle. Do you have a Past with our Lord where you've seen Him work on your behalf? If so, let that be a reminder Today that He will do it again.
David ran toward his battle not away from it (v48) and in the end he prevailed with a sling and a stone! (V50) What ever your giant is today...please know that God is able!
