Welcome...I'm so glad you've found your way to the Roger Mardis Ministries website. Inside you'll learn about me, my family, my books, my schedule and about ways you can pray for and support Friends of Nazareth and the Nazareth Baptist School.
In 2018, after 36 years of pastoral ministry, I became the President of Friends of Nazareth, Inc.
FON is a 501(c)(3) that is committed to the work and spiritual development of the 1000+ students at the Nazareth Baptist School. NBS is the largest evangelical school in Israel. I would love to talk with you about what our Lord is doing in His hometown! In fact, why not join me on a journey to the Holy Land soon.
Michelle and I have now come full circle. We began our ministry in the Shoals in the early 1980's and we recently moved back to Florence. Our FON office is housed inside my home church, Highland Baptist Church. My office is actually in the room that was the church library when I was a child. Isn't that amazing... Out of the same room I once checked out books, I'm now writing them!
A little update on the family: Michelle is a Surgery Scheduler for the Helen Keller Hospital in Tuscumbia. Andrew and Caitlin and their son Max live in Columbia, SC. Both are Pharmacists. Zach and Elise live in Huntsville, AL. They are both lawyers and actively involved in their firms. Stephen, Audrey-Anne and William live in Florence. Stephen is an RN at Helen Keller Hospital and Audrey-Anne is the Branch Office Administrator for Edward Jones in Tuscumbia. Mae Beth and Will also live in Florence. Mae Beth works for First Metro Bank and Will is a musician and music instructor. Both are involved in the worship ministry of their church.
As you can imagine 2020 has presented many challenges to all of us, including FON and NBS. Our school is back open but FON's travel schedule came to a grinding halt in March. We do pray that our travel can resume in February of 2021. Please pray that we continue to develop partners and attract donors, our needs are vast! Thanks for praying.
